CJL: your drawings do
RL2: it just says RICK LACY
CJL: oh

"''Some of the people can be half right part of the time. Half of the people can be part right all of the time. But all of the people can't be all right all of the time.' T. S. Eliot said that. 'I'll let you be in my dream if I can be in your dream.' I said that.' Bob Dylan said that." Constance Tammer-Spence said that.

In what is becoming a yearly tradition, Phil thought of a hilarious birthday present for me, but then was unable to find it. But that doesn't matter, because just hearing about the idea is gift enough. Besides, it's probably to everyone's benefit that I didn't receive gold teeth from a Las Vegas pawn shop.

My computer went all meltdown, with the screen freezing and, you know, but you can still move some windows around, but they leave trails behind. I made some paintings.

What it is is a first-time filmmaker from Utah, Trent Harris, happens upon an eager local kid, Groovin' Gary, in a parking lot and after some hamming Gary invites Harris to document a talent show he's in. Harris does. And then he does again, in a fictionalized way, starring Sean Penn. The he does again, in a more fictionalized way, starring Crispin Glover.

This American Life explained it better.
