NEW YORK, Oct. 17 -- Rick Lacy II, the powerhouse designer behind nearly all your favorite Venture Bros. characters; Rick Lacy II, veritable freight train of artistic fluid, has just climaxed all over yet another market: Independent Comic Books. I had the pleasure of sitting down with Rick on this, the morning after his first comic art hit the shelves, to talk about what he plans to do now that he wakes up in beds full of even more adoring fans.

TB: Hi Rick, I've known you a while now, and if one thing's for sure, you are an avid Star Wars fan. So, it must have been like a dream come true to have your first published comic art appear in a Star Wars book. And I'm flipping through it right now--Star Wars: Clone Wars Adventures Vol. 4--and may I just say that your comic, "The Brink"-

RL: That's not my comic.

TB: I'm sorry?

RL: I drew "Orders." I was miscredited as having drawn "The Brink."

TB: Are you serious?

RL: Yes. I am.

TB: Oh, okay, wow. Man. And comparing the two here, "Orders" is clearly a superior work.

RL: (silence)

TB: That sucks, dude.

RL: Yes. It does.

TB: No, that really sucks.

RL: (silence)

TB: (laughs)

No, but, yeah, that sucks. But there you have it. Rick's first comic and they credit it to someone else. Let's just all be glad the editors at Dark Horse aren't our doctors.

Nevertheless, you can buy the comic in question here or here or at your local comic shop--though I'm inclined to wait until the second printing, after they've fixed the error and Rick has hopefully convinced them to give him the cover.
